Plan on a meal fund of $100 + Resort Lunch/Meals
All of the courses at Bandon Dunes are walking only.
There are complimentary pushcarts available that are pretty rad.
If you’d like to arrange a caddy for any of the rounds you can call (541) 347-5909 to request a caddie through Bandon Dunes. Cost is about $100/round with tip included and you pay the caddies directly.
I personally don’t play with a caddie, but it can add a bit of fun and comfort.
Dress code is polos and standard golf attire, no denim. Seriously, they’ll make you lose the blue jeans!
The weather on the coast changes pretty quick, so bring layers. BRING RAIN GEAR
Also, even if it’s windy and drizzly, the courses are built for weather like that. So don’t worry if conditions aren’t perfect, the golf will still be fun!
Golfing at Random Dunes is a whole other experience! Our home is about a 15 minute drive south of the golf course. My Dad and I, along with the OG golf trip crew, have carved out a pitching course in the dunes in front of the house where we can play little KP contests. We have even outfitted the course with UV flood lamps so we can play after dark. So this really is a golf junkie trip!
Along with clubs, balls, and your standard golf clothing. Here are a few things that make the Bandon golf experience better, especially this time of year. Name of the game is plan like its going to rain rain rain, and be thankful if you dont end up needing these things!
Rain Gear, both pants and jacket
Layers, vests, pullovers, thermals, etc.
Wind layer, she can get gusty
Hand warmers, those little disposable packs you’d use for hunting or skiing
Extra socks in a Ziploc, something for you to change into in case it pours and you step in a big puddle.
An extra pair of golf shoes, in case your first pair do not dry out overnight
A pair of comfy recovery shoes to put on after the round
A beanie, especially if you're like me and have more scalp showing than you used to
Lip balm, either for your lips or to take some spin off your driver
Swim trunks and a towel for the hot tub!!!
BYOB, there’s also a great liquor store in Bandon with good selection of beer and wine too.
